Supporting You During Pregnancy
For increased comfort and a well-aligned pelvis
- Do you want to minimize postural discomfort during pregnancy?
- Do you have back pain, neck pain, or sciatica (leg pain)?
- Are you looking for a “no-crack” approach to neurospinal health?
Don’t believe that you need to suffer during your pregnancy. It is not necessary for you to have one-sided pelvic joint pain, sciatic pain down the back of your leg, neck pain, or headaches during pregnancy. Many women turn to our Eagan chiropractic office to help with spinal issues without using pain medication. If you are looking to optimize your spine and pelvis during pregnancy, we are here to increase your comfort level.
Our office is focused on low-force, no-twisting methods to support neurospinal health for patients of all ages and conditions. For pregnant moms, comfort during treatment is our priority. We use several techniques, including Webster technique, to create proper function and alignment of the spine, especially the pelvis. When the pelvis is functioning properly, there is less tension on the uterine ligaments that anchor the uterus to the pelvic bones. This allows the uterus to give maximum space to the developing baby, so that he or she can stay in an optimal head-down position. This is a different approach than an ECV (external cephalic version), which is a medical procedure. Webster technique is sometimes inaccurately called a “breech turning” technique, but it never involves directly manipulating the position of the baby or uterus.
What to Expect During Examination and Treatment
We offer complimentary 15-minute consultations to review your health history, answer any questions you may have, and explain our procedures thoroughly. We do not X-ray pregnant women; there are many other neurospinal diagnostic tools at our disposal. As with all patients, pediatric and adult, we perform non-invasive computerized diagnostic testing to determine the degree of neurospinal dysfunction.
Chiropractic care during pregnancy is safe and comfortable. We use newer, neurologically-based methods that require very little force delivered to the spine. Our methods do not require any twisting of the spine or “cracking” of spinal joints. As your body changes during pregnancy, we are here to help you maintain a balanced spine and pelvis.
